US Secret Service

Human Resources Specialist-Contractor supporting the US Secret Service, The Office of Human Resources

HR Specialist (Benefits and Payroll): HR specialists strive for efficiency, flexibility, and security in managing HR records. Benefits and Payroll Division have duties that include updating the electronic personnel files from paper to electronic archive. The eOPF solution increases productivity and efficiency and frees HR staff to work directly with the federal employee to resolve issues and answer questions. Specifically, eOPF scanning and entry is critical to assist agencies in analysis and reporting. Contractors assigned to assist in the Benefits and Payroll Division will provide junior level federal staffing support the Payroll Operations Branch (POB) in the following areas:

Duties:  a)    Access and analyze available datasets b)    Create an automated quality control program for validation of existing processes and create specialized reports to identify data errors

c)    Automate a process that will produce ad-hoc reports for on demand request and data calls d)    Automate the process that produces basic pay statements for all manual payments

e)    Create a WEBTA Account audit report

 Place of Performance

All contract work will be conducted at the U.S. Secret Service Headquarters Memorial Building, 950 H Street, NW, Washington, DC and within the National Capital Region.


Human Resources Specialist-Contractor supporting the US Secret Service, The Office of Human Resources Staffing USSS

HR Staffing positions require senior federal staffing experience using various hiring authorities.  Additional key duties: ability to efficiently execute and track all HR duties assigned in support of high recruitment goals; research applicable laws to aid in the staffing needs, provide 24-48 hour response time for customer service matters related to staffing requests; provide required status reports on workload progress to team leads and Division Chiefs as requested; respond, research and prepare documents and follow processes required to complete all aspects of the hiring process such as: job opportunity announcements, qualification assessments, applying veteran’s preference, apply multiple hiring authorities, data input into HR systems, preparing merit promotion certificates etc. 

All work will be assessed on the effectiveness of the work product according to current procedures and business practices. The positions and experience required are listed below:

Specialist 1 Staffing: 8 -10 years working in or with federal government in HR achieved senior level work experience (junior level may be considered in a support role)

Provides federal staffing, human resources, recruitment and personnel action processing services to various governmental agencies and departments working in the federal human resources arena.

 

Specialist 3 - Staffing: Provides senior level federal staffing, human resources and recruitment services, including, but not limited to, job classification, employee relations and benefit services to various governmental agencies and departments working in the federal human resources arena.
